Summary: CyberEd.io transforms our clients’ ability to manage their organization’s cyber security risk. As the Director of Learning Experience Design for CyberEd.io, I am designing a revolutionary two-pronged learning experience solution that both educates employees, and monitors behavior for compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Consult key stakeholders, internal clients, and end-users to define goals

  • Expand product vision to include a user centric design strategy

  • Apply UX Research and Learning Experience Design methodologies to cut through ambiguity

  • Define requirements and product roadmap

  • Lead the design and development of a transformative, easy to use, cyber security education and compliance solution

  • Produce, create and edit copy, art/design, videos or other content as necessary

  • Manage design and development teams, as well as other direct reports

Result: Executive acceptance of revolutionary product strategy targeted to increase revenue. Cross functional alignment on updated branding, style guides and design approach. Stay tuned for more.

 

Summary: Optimizely is a large, global, martech organization, that drives business impact for enterprise-level, big-name, clients As Senior Instructional Designer for the Sales Enablement Team, I distilled complex, contentful documentation down to simplified, digestible, and delightful learning experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Audit existing programming to pinpoint potential challenges

  • Consult key stakeholders, internal clients, and end-users to strategize, develop product roadmaps, and then execute on agreed plans

  • Apply UX Research and Learning Experience Design methodologies to cut through ambiguity

  • Build a new user flow to onboard and enable new sales talent

  • Create a simple, elegant, mini-brand within the Optimizely brand standards

Result: The four Optimizely Academy Onboarding courses I produced are semi-automated and self-serve so they require less internal resources to deliver the same learning outcomes. Moreover, they do so in 75% less time to save thousands of dollars at scale.

Summary: Braintrust is a Silicon Valley based startup that utilizes blockchain technology to revolutionize the future of work. As Project and Production Manager at Braintrust I produced asynchronous learning material to dramatically improve the Learning Experience and incoming "user" onboarding flow.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire and manage a small team

  • Perform UX Research and Learning Experience Design

  • Build a new user flow to guide thousands of users from the top to the bottom of the inbound marketing funnel

  • Analyze "drop off"and other click-through/ conversion metrics

  • Iterate to optimize the product

  • Improve Ux copy/messaging/comms across all channels 

 

Result: I produced 5 Braintrust Academy Modules then optimized the whole product’s performance to decrease “drop off” rates, and outpace preceding iteration success metrics by 25% to 35% each quarter, quarter over quarter. The product saved the team at least 12 hours a week, and thousands of dollars.

Summary: NY Aikikai is a world class martial arts school and the United States Aikido Federation Headquarters. As UX Lead on 2021 New York Aikikai Website relaunch, I performed Learning Experience Research to inform overall customer experience, user journeys and the website redesign.
I reimagined a more “user-centric” brand and up-skilled our community, to become a 100% remote, online community, pivot and produce excellent Learning Experiences to weather the pandemic.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Create personas to inform market segmentation, tone, and messaging across channels

  • Analyze product market fit and comps

  • Inform product roadmap and design style 

  • Deliver various design assets like wireframes or presentation decks

  • Evangelize design rationale to founders/ internal stakeholders
     

Result: I produced 60+ Learning Experience Designs and online course offerings, spearheaded the MVP waves of the most successful fundraising efforts to date at that time. We maintained a healthy client-base through the pandemic, and even attracted new students.

 

Learning Experience Design FlexSchool Kids at Work 3.png

Summary: FlexSchool is a private school for gifted kids. We were lucky to have a robust suite of online asynchronous learning options, called “cloud campus,” even before the pandemic. As the Media Production Teacher, I leveraged my Learning Experience Research and design skills to generate modules that kept kids engaged in difficult times.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to independent and team thought leadership initiatives during crucial Covid-19 pivot

  • Learning Experience Research and design

  • Develop robust curriculum of synchronous and asynchronous offerings

  • Teach media production: fine art, mixed media, digital media, film, audio, video production, and also web design
     

Result: I produced 50+ robust and prefabricated modules. The class output quality student work, which then served as fodder for various FlexSchool marketing initiatives.

 

Summary: Preschool on the Planet is a largely grant funded and volunteer based preschool program in upper Manhattan. As Moderator, I leveraged my Learning Experience Research and design skills to migrate all content online, kick-start the CRM ecosystem, and publish the MVP Website.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, publish, and direct traffic to, the first ever MVP Website

  • Develop marketing strategy and generate CRM funnel through 157 Campaigns over list-serves and third party software like Mailchimp

  • Own fundraising and grant writing, secure funds and sustain the program

  • Migrate contentful legacy curriculum online and create 38 net new online lesson plans

  • Produce one school years’ worth of repeatable curriculum

  • Manage client interface and teach 20-35 children


Result: I streamlined all overall business processes and for optimal continuance of all programming from year to year, year over year. Preschool on the Planet has been successfully transferred to the next generation of Moderators, volunteers and children!

Summary: Tarrytown Nursery School's innovative co-op model replaces a high overhead with parent involvement. As Fundraising Chair, I leveraged my Learning Experience Research and design skills to migrate fundraising content online, kick-start the CRM ecosystem, and publish the MVP Website.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect data, user surveys and perform iterative customer service design

  • Migrate contentful legacy business processes online

  • Design, publish, and direct traffic to MVP Website

  • Develop marketing strategy and generate CRM funnel to 10 Fundraising Campaigns

  • Coordinate donors and appeals

  • Manage high profile events, end to end from research, budgeting, scheduling, to expense report documentation thereafter
     

Result: I streamlined all overall business processes for optimal continuance of all fundraising programming from year to year, year over year. Tarrytown Nursery School has been successfully transferred to the next generation of parents and children!
